Is there a way to change them actually sound/instrument when you add a new or clone a pattern to a track in arranger mode? I could not find how and the answer might be that a new pattern is not a new track and therefore you need to use the same sound patch and all you can do is to change the actual playable pattern but I thought I’d ask as this would (perhaps is if you can) great as you would (are) not limited to 8 tracks but 99 if you can do it.
Thanks v much
Each pattern has its own instrument and they are independent in this regard. Two patterns on the same track can sound totally differently using different sound engines, filters, envelopes, mixer settings, etc.
Thank you. Agreed but how do you actually change the instrument/sound engine on a new pattern?
Copy : paste pattern and on the new one just select different engine or preset.
Thank you and sorry if I am super slow here but I can’t get to actually change the engine. I obviously know how to do that for a track but without an arranger if I copy/add/clone I just don’t know how to change the engine..!?
To explain my question : At instruments level, you select a track and click shift + track number to change the sound engine/ When in arranger if you do shift + the track number you mute/unmute the track but you don’t change the sound engine, so my question is how to/can we change the actually sound engine?
Auto reply to my question: Need to push Tracks button and change from there, I was trying to do it more directly from the arranger, s just that extra step.
