two months ago, I borrowed a friend’s OP-1 Field for a week and the sampler ruined everything else for me. so I had to make my own, and I released it to the App Store a short time later.
fast forward two months and it’s taking on a life of its own, getting a bit out of hand… which is a real thing for creative developers. learned a lot along the way: AU support, different layouts for different devices, running inside other apps, adding web audio streams as inputs (like how the FM radio works in the OP-1). it’s been a ride to say the least.
I guess this is still a bit of a love letter, but I’d love to hear what you all think of it. it’s called Choppa.
also working on a looper focused on the permanent overdub style of the OP-1.
hope this post is ok, I wanted to share in case anybody else wanted a sampler like the field in their pocket.
