Step-by-step Tutorials for TE Devices

I’m soft launching a website for AI-generated synth/sampler/groovebox tutorials. I was skeptical too, but the quality is surprisingly good - I actually get the sounds I’m asking for and end up with fun tracks close to what I wanted.

Example here:

The chat interface lets you ask device-specific questions and get follow-ups, chord progressions, clarification on what buttons to press, how to make specific sounds, etc.

Currently focusing on Teenage Engineering devices (Pocket Operators, OP-1, OP-Z, OP-XY, EP 133 KO II) because they’re my favorites and each device takes effort to support.

It’s invite-only while I test if this thing even works. Been useful and accurate for my OP-Z, OG OP-1, some POs, and EP 133.

To get an invite: Sign up and include “OP Forums” in the second field (plus any other devices you’d want supported) - I’ll prioritize you. You’ll get 12 chat credits to use. Unfortunately, I can’t run it free forever since the AI costs ~10 cents per interaction, but all published tutorials/guides are publicly available.

Also drop requests in this thread (devices to add, specific tutorials, sounds/patches) - I’ll generate them and post links here.

Bug reports and suggestions welcome!

Were you mostly skeptical about accuracy of tutorials? Or something else?

Totally skeptical about the accuracy of the tutorials and whether the LLM would understand both music theory and how to apply it to a specific device with its own unique workflow.

Please add yourself to the waitlist. You will literally be user number two. I can give you access as soon as you add yourself.

thanks for the kind offer!

i’m interested in use of machine learning for art but have ethical objections to most LLM based processes

te products can definitely use more tutorials and video guides so thank you for trying to fill the gap

Hi! If you sign up through the forum and run out of “credits” please post here and I’ll top you up with a bunch more - don’t pay for a subscription.

I only have a few users, so looking to at least validate the idea behind this site. Also, please post other devices here you’d like to see support for. Thanks so much. Literally the only users I have so far are from the forums here and I want to make sure you are all able to use the site and get some value from it. xoxoxo
