Did you do it WITHIN a drum kit, though? You can re-arrange the sounds with lift/drop, but you can’t drop a single sound from tape into a single part of the kit. Right?
@daedalus, no, you can’t just do a single slot. the drum sampler does it as one long sample.
hahaha, just actually read your original post and thats what you already suggested. ignore me, i’m used to it! ha

ahh yea u right. only works within the kit. my b!
@daedalus, no, you can't just do a single slot. the drum sampler does it as one long sample. You could try copy and pasting the sample from the drum sampler to tape, adding your new sample to the end of it, make it one sample then copy and paste it back in to the drum sampler. you may need to adjust the start and end ponits again....havent' tried this
The thing that sucks about this is that when you lift the whole drum kit and paste it to tape, there is a bunch of noise at the beginning, which I think might be the encoder/effect values, etc. So then you have to try to trim that off in order to lift it and fit it back into the kit again properly, and you then have to re-set the start/stop points for each sound. Pain.
