Synth presets for nice clear triad chords

Hello,

How do I get nice clear chord tones on the OP-1 for triads? Last night, I was trying to get a good predictable tone. But with the synths I tried, it was hard to know to make it a consistent sound and to really feel that all three tones in the chord were coming through.

For instance, I know to use the Poly setting. (Otherwise you don’t even get a chord.)

What other settings do I need to keep in mind? Or synths to favor? Synths to avoid?

Any tips appreciated!

The FM engine is probably as clean as it gets - pure sine wave once the controls are turned down. Also like Pulse or Voltage for cleaner tones - of course the filter Fx (Punch and Nitro) factor in to all of this as well (expect FM, filterin sine waves wont do anything really)

Also - be sure to check the Master EQ page (button 4 when on mix/master mode) and check the compressor DRIVE setting. Some users note that decreasing the gain here provides a cleaner overall sound.
