For US military veterans, Guitar Center has a 10% discount all year round on new items, but not sale or used items. You might have to show some sort of ID. I use my VA Medical card. I am sure a DD-214 would also suffice.
Edit: I should mention, though I am sure veterans already know, the DD-214 is your discharge paperwork that you need for anything such as VA home loans, education benefits, VA medical benefits, etc. Also, on Veteran’s Day, many restaurants offer a free meal and the DD-214 is one of the forms of ID for that too.
