Also, I wonder how much sampling memory it will have… it can’t be much, not even close to a Volca Sample… maybe it is 12bit sampler with a low bit rate.

def. a sampler! talking 'bout the PO-Speak and def. a FX Unit PO-K.O!

first 3 seconds of every teaser gives this hint. in------out and recording.

boom

Yes, the video confirms that it is a sampler - even if it works in the vocal synthesis weird way of the Magnus Lindstrom “talk box” software (which, if I understood, does an analog > digital conversion of the sound in synthesis parameters, a solution to mimick the sample in a low memory enviroment like the POs). Based on the previous analysis of the Pocket Operators hardwares done here by fellow members, the sampling time is tight, if we are talking about “memory writing”, so I dont expect a multi-samples sequencer in a Volca Sample way. Which isnt exactly a problem, as one or two samples can operate miracles in a Pocket Operator system, with two or three units synced.

Dudes...

It's gonna be awesome, but don't be surprised that although it's a sampling PO with a microphone, It's most likely not going to be able to record samples... The mic is for data transfer only... Makes sense right? A tiny crappy mic like that can't capture dat kick.

I'm not the barer of *bad* news... I'm just the offerer of great truth.

Thats what I believe to. I looks exactly like the PO-32 MEMS-mic. Maybe theres a second mic för sample recording on the K.Os back?

I think it’ll be the same sampling tech as per the opz… No line in.

I’m actually excited about these now… I’ve been eyeing of the po-32 after that video of a guy walking around a city jamming on one. Now if one of these is a sampler and ones a fx… I might just plurge for the Magnus 3pack
Sync them to the op1 and jam away.

Wait… the opz has no line in! That just kind of killed it a bit for me…

Full disclosure: I can’t remember. I’m probably just rumour-mongering.

gotta be a bitspeak operator, yeah?

This is bigger than I thought it would be. I was hoping it would be a DIY product! Will be interesting to see if they can get the price low enough to sell.

Yeah I think so, sadly. I checked it a few days ago and it looked the same.
