My guess is that non US orders had to ship the case separately because of logistics, and they wanted to avoid lots of shipping, so they ship to a business because it is cheaper than residential, then have you pick it up. Probably some cheap shipping deal they got, but it doesn’t sound ideal!
Clearly they put their effort and skill into design first, everything else a distant second. That must be why their products are so cool with such a small company.

I love TE products but their marketing/logistics department is seriously lacking…
I’m quite ok w/ TE not leaving my op-z @ my doorstep.
wait…theres a big difference between randomly delivering your package to a different address
and trying to deliver but not leaving your package at your address and taking it back to the UPS drop point…
which one is it?
I was never asked to have it delivered at home, it was ups access point by default.

Exactly this. I provided the correct delivery address (my office) and instead of them even attempting delivery there, it went to an access point. Unfortunately not one walkable from the office, so I then had to get it redelivered to a closer access point - redelivery to the original address wasn’t an option.
In the end it’s not that big of a deal. It’s just super super weird. And I’m curious as to what will happen with the other shipment.

So…anyone who had an email saying they would be posted this week had a shipping email yet?
I guess they could just post then on Friday and the statement would still be true…but I suspect it will be staggered…
Surely the app and full manual should show this week as well?

I got the confirmation of the yellow bananaenvelope on a monday at 18:30hrs, it’s 16:05 now, so JUST 2.5 MORE HOURS!!

It’s certainly ambitious to hope that they would ship on Monday the week after sending that notification. I’m 100% with you but who knows when - or even if - they’ll actually push the ‘ship everything’ button.
…i think they‘ve learned the demand story with the pocket operators. maybe they‘ve done a lot of OP-Zs before it’s gone wrong with the production! ?
Damn, the retailer I pre-ordered from just changed the estimated delivery date from 2018-10-17 to 2018-11-09. I e-mailed them and asked them if that date is correct for the first batch of pre-orders headed out to retailers in Sweden and now I’m sweating while awaiting their response…
