Reel dev here, some of you saw the 1.5 thread.

Everyone said the TP-7 couldn’t transfer files to an iPhone. We cracked it.

TP-7 File transfer with Reel iOS

Link above gives a preview of TP-7 plugged straight into my iPhone, no computer, copying a recording into Reel. Works both ways: pull takes in, multitrack included, send them back as native takes, or back up the whole device. We call it tape swaps.

OP-1 Field, OP-XY and TX-6 MTP support are coming in the same release.

1.5.27 came out and I was excited for some TP-7 love, but nope. Are looking at the 1.6 release before we see some movement on this front?

Hey Angus,

Our main focus is on the Field Kit equipment integrations and TP-7 is included as one of them. This will be the next exciting release.

1.5.27 was primarily a health update for the app due to the new iOS 27 release and it introducing some bugs in the beta alongside some other edge case reported bugs.

The technical side of the field kit MTP is done but admittedly the UX side is where I’m revisiting and refining and trying to spot and fix all bugs beforehand to make sure its all smooth and fully reliable.
