I have two TP-7s. The first one’s jog wheel is really quiet and is what I’d consider within specification. The second one’s jog wheel is, however, a bit scratchy at one point each time around. Would you consider it within specification?

my wheel is totally quiet. personally i would not accept any noise in the rotation but you do you if you don’t mind it!
would you be able to share the same FFWD clip for your “not noisy” TP7 as a reference?
Here’s the quiet one. I’ll note that the iPhone microphone is very unforgiving here, but I do believe that the difference should be quite clear.
Of note is that on the noisy TP-7, the jogwheel can be pressed like a button in the upper right quadrant, even with a distinct click to it. The other one doesn’t budge much when pressed on anywhere.
this one sounds normal to me. the other one seems wonky/misaligned but im not an expert. ive confirmed with te support that over time with enough use (like scratching etc) noise and variation is normal and expected, so if you told me that “noisy” tp7 had been used for quite some time im sure it would be the realm of normal. but if that’s how it is straight out of the box, to me it seems wonky/misaligned
