I have an op-xy and sadly the mid grey encoder stops after 23 clicks when it is turned clockwise. It’s still under warranty which is cool. But the sad thing for me is I have 77 beats stored in there, and I can only access the first 23 beats. I am going to send it back to get it fixed. But I fear they will not fix it, but send me a new one. That leads to my question:
Is there a way for me to get my beats off of there? I have a 2012 Mac which could theoretically work. But it is stuck on OS Sierra. I’ve never hooked it up to the computer. I figured out how to do the firmware update with my iPad. So if you can help me save my tracks to pull them up on a new, fully functional opxy I would be very Grateful. Can I drop files on the iPad? Does opxy allow for the beats to get backed up on computer? Does it work with the version of my operating system?

I’m new to the OP-XY so someone else may have another solution.

Fieldkit that’s required to be installed on the Mac won’t install on yours. I have a 2013 Macbook Pro with Catalina and it wont install on that.It does on the new Macbook Ait I have. If you have access to a newer Mac use that. If you have access to a Windows computer or a friends use that. Windows doesn’t need any software install. If so connect it to the Windows computer using the supplied cable (You may need a USB-C to USB-A adaptor) or another cable. Turn on the OP-XY and press the COM button. Then M4 (mtp). The OP-XY will show as a removable drive in Windows explorer. I’d just copy everything to a USB stick.Your projects will be in the projects folder. A text file with instructions is there too. Copy them to the new OP-XY when you get it if need be.
