TX-6 Button as Toggle MIDI Control in Ableton Live

Hello,

I have a question regarding the TX-6 and its use as a MIDI remote controller in Ableton Live. Specifically, I’m trying to use the buttons below the faders to control the Solo function in Ableton. However, the buttons currently behave as momentary switches, and I would like them to act as toggle buttons instead.

I’ve tested this using both Bluetooth and USB connections, and in both cases the buttons function as momentary.
I’m running firmware version 1.2.15.

Interestingly, when using the Noise Machine NM2 via Bluetooth, I’m able to achieve momentary behavior—so I’m hoping the same might be possible with the TX-6.

Is there a way to configure the TX-6 buttons to behave as toggle controls?

I don’t think you can configure it on the tx-6, it always sends messages on press and release.

Likely can be handled on computer side though, check the “How do I change this behaviour” section for some links
