Just found a Volca FM and ordered it right away, these things are hard to find. I’m stoked!
That is all. Bye.
jealous
Saw the Sonic State review, put off a bit by the lack of note on velocity. Still jealous though!

@ghostly606 yeah I heard about that… still was a no brainier for me but I get the drawback. You can always ride the fader!
I’m still tempted… though I do need a new studio mac (boring), and probably want an organelle more than the volca… gah!
@pselodux for $159 I was willing to take a shot
@Braun3000 $239 in AU
I love mine!! Enjoy, it’s amazing.
Dying for one in Europe, but no online store have it
Love the Volca FM! The power lies in the sequencer.
And the bass !
I really like how it sounds when you drop the Octave slider to -1 !!
Very good jam @wildfrontiers !
Hi, I need some confirmation that I’m doing this correctly.
I think I use SY4.
I think from memory the Volca always spits out the sync pulses, not just on pressing play.
Yeah, that’s the way it’s working. Cool. I can work without the PO’s waiting to play.
According to TE, the SY numbers are…
Volca > PO (SY2)
Volca > PO (SY3) > PO (SY4)
These worked fine.
Anyone got any tips on sound creation/tinkering? I’ve tried to delve blindly into the EDIT mode, but I’m not getting any dramatic changes to occur. Maybe I’m messing around on an operator that isnt impacting much?

First try changing algorithms and then messing with the attack and decay knobs for both carrier and modulator. You’ll get some really dramatic changes that way.
Very cool jam @wildfrontiers
I’ve gotten some pretty rad sounds just switching algorithms and adjusting the mod and carrier
