I found the OP-1 on youtube, and instantly I was blown away with what it was capable of. I have been playing drums for 15years and guitar for 10, lots of different genres but never anything electronic so this is a first…so like I was saying, the OP-1 looked like something I could get into, it looks like so much fun! So I watched all the youtube videos of it, and just imagined how it would be, then I saw the price… it was a shocker…instead I got a PO-12 and learned it really fast, the pocket operator is soooo much fun…
anyways, all this took place in the space of a couple of months(me drooling over the OP-1) and when black friday came around I couldn’t resist. I found a nice 15% off coupon thanks to y’all on this site, now I’m waiting for it to arrive and it’s killing me!!! Sooo excited! Can’t wait.

Welcome to the club. I got mine on Tuesday. I dismissed it as an expensive toy when it came out, there not being any amazing videos to captivate me back then, but when I stumbled upon it on YouTube a few weeks ago, I was immediately hooked. I guess it helps I have seriously started composing since then and can see its potential from that point of view.
I hope you enjoy it. It is simply amazing, and quite intuitive to use too. I wouldn’t say I know everything about it yet – not by far – but I’ve learnt a lot in just a few days and feel I know my way around it now.

funny thing about the op1, when i bought it, i used it for about 1 week, had fun with it but left it gathering dust for some times, i hadn’t time and motivation for writing beats… didn’t want to sell it though. and some weeks ago, i gave it another try, and haven’t stop it yet so funny and so powerful, despite the limitations… i’m in love with that thing, it will be for sure the last piece of gear i’ll keep (and i owned a lot of gear during the years, and i said this many times!).
