Ironically I think the news on synthtopia that the old forum died was what put the OP-1 to the front of my mind, I’m travelling to japan soon and I could see that this was a much more self contained solution than a volca.
So I’m glad to be here with my recent purchase of a second hand OP-1 how I resisted this long as a casiotone and fourtrack devotee I don’t know!
I love the way this forum is set up and I’m really looking forwRd to us replacing the knowledge lost, and commencing Battle!

This resource is too important to lose. The ohpeewon.com wayback machine capture cuts off at 010514, and it’s hardly there at all (tons of dead pages).
I needed to re-create my account, so if the old stuff is resurrected here it will be interesting to see how it’s tracked.

@dimi3 has been doing all the backend stuff since it’s his server. I can activate plugins once he’s installed them but that’s about it.

Hello everyone! I wasn’t a member of the old forum, but I enjoyed reading it. I’ve had the OP-1 for about a year and a half, and I’m still discovering new ways of making music on it. It’s also my main synth when performing live.
Here’s one of my most popular tracks.
Only the “chorus oohs” were created through a sample, everything else was made with an OP-1 synth engine.
I just found my way back to this place. I was a member of ohpeewon and that’s also where I got my unit from, used from the UK, in 2011. I’m glad to see the community live on.
Just wanted to thank the moderators of this forum. It’s a great resource for OP-1 users.

Did the old site database get incorporated, or is is available in some other way? It was a great resource, and it would be a shame to lose all that history.

First timer here… just got my OP-1 @ Moogfest 2016. Having a blast with it! About me - I’m a keyboardist and synth nut for many years. My first keyboard was a Korg Poly-800 - which now that I think about it shared a feeling of playfulness with the OP, although a bit bigger. Since then I’ve had lots of various rigs, culminating now in a mix of analog and digital stuff I love. I have a Yamaha MOXF6 and 8 plus a DX7IIFD, Moog Sub Phatty, K-Arp Odyssey, and now the OP-1.
I’ve been lurking prior to buying the OP, and this forum is one of the reasons I bought it. I love reading all the stuff and seeing/hearing how people are using their gear. Thanks for keeping it going, and I look forward to hanging out!

I was a member of the old forum and had to sell my OP-1 right around the time this new one got started. I’m back in business now with a new OP-1 on it way to my door. Looking forward to getting back into the battles. Cheers!
