What I received back after repair

So recently, within the last 6-8 weeks (the time it took) I sent my field in to repair the mic out of warranty. I was asked to send it in the original shipping box to keep it safe which I did of course. What I received back is a total joke. My op-1 field came back in a flimsy cardboard box that was way oversized and completely smashed. Oh and also it had water damage as you’ll see in the photos. I’ve wrote them asking for a full replacement at this point. We will see how this goes but to say I’m unhappy is an understatement.

Oh that’s awful. I wouldn’t open it up any further and see if you need to go through shipping insurance or send it back to the repair shop.

Good luck and sorry about having such a terrible experience!

Sorry that’s unacceptable and infuriating

This morning they got back to me less than 24hrs of receiving the damaged package and let me know they’re going to replace it.

That’s great to hear, you definitely deserve a whole new model after that. Are they letting you keep the damaged model or are you sending it back?

Great outcome! Sure most of the blame lies with the shipping but a layer of plastic would’ve stopped the water ingress.

I have the damaged one still. The crazy thing is that it still turns on and makes sound but the board is completely fried. It won’t charge and the jacks don’t work. Glad I backed it up before sending it off.
