It can be done better like on the SP404SX. The combination of mark button and dials to get the the start and end points right is perfect in my opinion. A screen isn't necessary in that case and it feels very intuitive.
Yes we gotta wait and see.....most likely a bit longer than september I am afraid.
Oh, I hated using those dials on the SP-404SX. As much fun as that device was, editing samples on it was a laborious task.
Yeah, especially long samples. The trick is getting good with the mark button.
Interesting… that means the total flash size is 1MB. This u-law was used in the past for telephony applications, it works more or less like a compressor, squashing the louder signals to fit into a 8-bit dynamic range. So, not on par with OP-1 after all.
Little update, in the beta version you can add your own samples via the disk mode from a Computer to OP-Z i don’t know if you can add samples to more than one track or if this process will make the final version.
Yep he avoids the question, samples on more than one track would make the OP-Z completely awesome but there is no indication so far it will. At least there is opportunity for home-brew software to manage, name and transfer the sample kits on the computer.
hey mcpepe, nah can’t see it multi-sampling (more than one velocity layer) and that is perfectly fine for me.
