I’m trying to figure out why I would use normal sampler instead of multisampler. I can’t see any reason not to use multisample instead, all parameters are the same.
Can someone give me a reason for using normal sampler?
I use the normal sampler 1) when the sample is not pitched far or 2) where I actually want to hear the effect of pitching up or down a long way or 3) for speed.

I find the regular sample engine much easier to edit when it comes to setting loop points, for example. In the multisampler you need to set the loop points for each individual sample and remember to do that again for all of them if you decide to change another parameter. This can be pretty tedious if you’ve sampled a full chromatic scale.
Unrelated but related, what is the advantage of the KO II vs the OP-XY when it comes to sampling?
