Would the Beatstep Pro work as a USB host for the OP-1?

I'm on the verge of buying a Kenton USB Host, and it occured to me that perhaps the Arturia Beatstep Pro could do the job as a midi host for the OP-1? Would it?

doubtful… doesn’t look like theres any host port

No you’ll still need a host. I have original beatstep and the only way I can get it to work with the op-1 is via the Kenton usb host or I guess the op-lab but haven’t used the latter with it

Yeah, I wrote to them when they announced the Pro:


“Hi John,

You’ll still need an iConnect MIDI to use the Beatstep Pro with the TE OP-1.
Let me know if you need further information.
