Yikes I have a technical question about the mass storage device

I am on a mac running sequoia the latest os
I successfully added the free sound pack from the TE site
so I decided to purchase a $20 special from a nice youtuber on Gumroad. I only moved over two folders full of sounds when I realized that the storage space was down to under 100 mb
it had about 300 when I started . BUT I definitely asked the programmer of the sounds if the op has lots of storage and he said around 3 or 4 gigs.
so Now I tried to just delete the packs but it didn’t change how much storage is left. This happens to all of the USB drives I have ever used on macs. I have to literally erase the drive to get the space back. Do I have to now do a factory reset? unfortunately I read the extra snippet of info that was not in the manual but on the TE website. stating that you need to use a special app. Please help. THanks so much

when u delete files
u may still have to empty the recyling bin (trash)
with the device still connected
to get the memory space back

Wow I definitely have to try that. I mean I never see any of the files I delete in the recycling bin but maybe that is the odd Mac behavior

Lucky I got the field app to work and all is good as it says I have over 5 gigs of space

Thanks again for the tip
