i used a conversation with my daughter over breakfast in the morning for the language and the morning requirement. as well as my son who can't speak yet, the monkey!
i used some other kitchen sounds for acoustics, including a toaster and pouring a bowl of cereal.
i used the mic on my iPhone and recorded using the built in Voice Memos App.
then sampled into the OP via line in using a lead. a hint of Delay on the sample gives it that nice airy open clarity…plus the Master has some Spring on it, which also opens up the sound overall nicely.
on top of that, my daughter likes to talk directly at the phone, up close like she’s giving an interview. she’s 4, and has no volume knob.
Wow! A couple of really cool entries :) Congratulations @kln, always cutting edge stuff and the @lefilou dub is rocking in my head, fya!
My beat was made in two times: first programmed the drums learning how to use my new Volca Sample and sampled with the iPhone mic a metro stop in Porto/Portugal, then sampled (again with the iPhone, as the OP-1 mic is broken) my neighborhood sounds in the morning when came back to Brazil.
The intro was made with a (iPhone) sampled woodstock chime, then played in the synth mode.
[Edit]: both lead and the bass are digital synths,
@quarantequatre Thanks! No, the lead is a Digital Synth patch (a factory one which I forgot the name, with - if I´m not mistaken - the LFO on the filter). The metro stop sound (indeed, it´s a 12 seconds texture) is the one which says “Carolina Michaelis”.
