Battle 42 - The Answer

54 + 138, just in case I feel like joining

I got 52… DNA with a tempo of 136… This is gonna be so groovy…

Already 32 potential participants ! It’s great
Hope I’m gonna have time to make something too.

Quick question: can I use a different synth engine for just one track instead of the extra instrument allowed? Not sure if I will but I don’t have any other instrument with me at the moment, hence the question. If not then it is perfectly fine, I just don’t want to mess things up

OK I got 99. looks like i have to do a track with slump (just discovered & installed the beta about 1h ago) at 183 bpm.

but I don't have any other instrument with me at the moment,
What about your Voice?

@Eti you can use any external thing that can be sampled ^^

74 cluster 154 Bpm. First battle but I love the guide so much. Late to the party as usual but I won’t panic. Can’t wait to hear what we all come up with!

here’s my track, i sampled a few parts of the film, but i think only one really comes out, the dialogue i named the track after. anyway i used cluster and tombola to make a weird bliping sound and a pulse synth i patched as a lead. i used a bass heavy bass drum sound as a bassline and sampled another film for the applause/footsteps and “britain in the near future” hopefully i fulfilled the requirements.

@36/120 BPM. It’s a moment they arrived in a wrong planet & all things mixed up. Feature film track+ 3*Frequency Module, with CWO/delay/punch on 3 channels. Cheers. link

I hereby humbly ask for an official prolongation of at least one more week to finish my song…

I unfortunately couldn’t make as much music as I had anticipated during the holidays, but would really come up with something decent for this Battle.

Shall we, @quarantequatre ?

No problem my friend !

Wanted to create something more fairy, but my overall mood laid huge shadow on the mood of the track.

Kind of wanted to work on it more, but decided that all mistakes and weakly done parts is my punishment for being lazy whole august, and that im publishing today. Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it here or on soundcloud.

Also, working with Pulse was kind of frustrating. It behaved strangely for me. Still, very useful challenge and I expect to participate in the next ones

(considering that submission time is extended, I might probably fix the track or make a remix as final submission)

Lets go for 1 or 2 more weeks guys

Phew… Thanks

EDIT: I have made a new mix with less gain, it has also less volume but it is cleaner now… cf. new post in this thread

My song - "Seem"

2 - String - 86 bpm
Used tons of different string sounds, voice, drums, and some movie samples.

Great battle!

+love the picture : I have already a favourite

Great track @edzilla  Is that mandolin kind of sound at 2.09 some super fast keys you’re playing or delay/arp/sequence? Never thought to use op string for that kind of sound. Sounds cool  Great job!

23. wave, + acoustic guitar from my flatmate. 107 bpm
