Best OP-1 (new) price, that was genuine and problem free?

Erm,… following my last post on my only discussion thread… about buying OP-1’s for very little… I just got an even lower price on what looked like a real vendor. At least without any alarming lines like ‘email me first’ - in German…

Given how reasonable Amazon were last time (I cancelled within about 30 mins of making the order), I am considering that if nothing turns up, I’ll get my money back…(worrying now…)…

So, yeah, how low to they go?

Cheers

Converted to EUR I paid about 860. I’d say anything below 800 or so probably is a scam? Not sure though.

I bought a new unit directly from Amazon (sold and shipped by Amazon itself) for 780€ a couple of weeks ago.

Oh dear. I just paid around half that. Can anyone describe how the scam might play out, please?!

A lump of wood in a box?
A fake OP-1- does such a thing exist
A protracted no-show, followed by Amazon refusing to reimburse me…?

If something arrives, do I open the box and get it through its self-checks while courier is stood there…?

I appreciate this is maybe beyond the scope of the forum, but there may be people here who know how this situation pans out…

For what it’s worth I have emailed the company- they sell other electronics and still OP-1’s- asking them to confirm their sale item, price and expected delivery date… I.e., if they were taken over for a few hours they might respond saying as such…

I only just heard from a chap who said they come along cheap now and again on Amazon…

For some reason my wife thinks this is funny?

Cheers for any help!

Amazon, last year £620

Could be worse then, eh?

Do you have link to the Amazon page? Is the seller offering unrelated items at similarly discounted prices? Are you paying Amazon or the other company directly?

I am such a muppet… I just want one soooo much…

Yes, on closer (some!) inspection all the sites items are listed as ‘last one left, order soon’,…and they have sold one item in the last 12 months…

I am repeating the cancellation process with Amazon and the vendor below…

To be honest, I didn’t look at where the money was going. Just thought that as long as it was under the banner of Amazon, eventually I’d get my money back. Providing I did not sign for an OP-1 that was actually a piece of plywood!

Balls!

Thanks for the replies.

So it’s cancelled.

I guess this might serve to warn other fools?

It better not have been legit, afterall!

And my wife was only laughing as her splurge-matching meant she was going to get her coveted item… a beehive!?

It’s a no risk transaction if on Amazon though, no?

That looks a great deal, and is direct from amazon.(or am I just being niaive?) So theoretically bullet proof consumer protection.

Yeah, amazon does that every once in a while, and this seems legit. I got one directly from them a few months ago in germany for 620e.

Hi all,

Due to unforeseen financial circumstances, I am selling my OP-1 with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. I only purchased this last week. I would ideally like £550.00, and I will post using signed for and insurance. I can also deliver (within reason). I live in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Anyone used Bax Shop before? Never heard of em but OP-1 listed there for under £560 atm…

Never used bax shop before but I’ve got my eyes on a few items they’ve got in stock for decent prices.

reviews seem ok

I’d highly recommend using CamelCamelCamel to track the Amazon price.

I got my OP1 a few weeks ago, direct from Amazon, for £547 including postage by keeping an eye on the price and hitting the buy button at the right time. It’s a little tedious having to track it but if it saves you £150 it’s worth the minimal effort and keeps the tension and excitement of getting an OP1 palpable!

Ebay listing for above: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142167081494

musiciansfriend.com has it for 15% off right now, $722 USD. you have to call in the order for them to honor that price.

Hi I’ve had great service from Bax in france, the op1 just went from 920€ to 820€ over night, I’ve never seen cheaper than that for new, I’m hoping to get one soon, but wonder if the price will keep dropping or go back up again…
Any idea why it’s dropped? it looks like there’s not any in stock atm

780€ on Amazon
