Crazy high prices on TE online store, are there any reasons for it?

A friend of mine was on the fence about the op-1 but he hurried and ordered one from Bax shop because the price is still Eu 789 there.

@virtual_flannel I really want a Prophet-6 so hoping those prices don't get too insane. I did order an Olegtron 4600 yesterday but those prices are still the same...

I wonder if the higher retail prices will hit the US? Huge bummer if so, as I just can’t justify buying one again. I’ve had a hell of a time saving up to buy one new at $849. I’d buy used but I’m super sketchy about doing so with the bad luck I’ve had in the past with used and out of warranty models.

…thought about it…TE made our devices more valuable, in fact of selling the device. Thats good for us. bad for new customers.

maybe they scaling down the production…less units, higher production rate?

With these prices it deserves a update :wink:

I was looking at the justmusic.de website, and their prices just went from 786 eur to 900 for a OP-1. Yay. Just when I was thinking of finally getting one.

So glad I bought my (used) OP1 the same day the prices went higher, if this deal would have failed I would have ordered a new and expensive one (+350€)…

@xbted: check this->http://www.schneidersladen.de/de/teenage-engineering-op-1.html

@LAUNE Thanks!

789€ + Urbanears OR Oplab + case. 3 years warranty, free shipment.

They might ship within the EU as well…
I think it’s time to buy before they all get up to date with the new price tags.

You would think the prices would be going down lol. I had previously suspected it was because production was so flooded with PO’s that they had to think of some way to deter people from ordering the OP-1 for a while, I guess that’s not the case.

i was in the store last night, logging on from america and prices were back to normal- $59 for po, $849 for op.

that’s the cost without VAT. Euro cost is €949, VAT included, which works out to a bit more than the £ cost before they upped prices. Wow, the Euro has really gone downhill :expressionless:
