Newbie here..
Really loving my OP1 and slowly starting to find my feet. Hoping someone can help me with a question regarding the Endless Sequencer.
When I choose a synth or drum engine and start to lay down the tones within the endless sequencer (holding shift) the sounds are slightly different to ones I selected. Why is this?
It could be that you’re not triggering your sequence back with the C key.
Try this - make a one note (either synth or drum) sequence, eg a bunch of A notes. Stop recording the endless seq and now trigger it with the C key. You’ll hear the correct pitch of what you entered when you trigger with the C key.
Think of it like a sampler that assigns the root note as middle C (Reasons NN-XT sampler does this)
To play back the sequence at the pitch/key you programmed it at, play the C. You can then move up or down the keyboard to transpose it.
Cheers for your help. It’s when I actually lay down the tones they are pitched higher than when selected. When I play back with the C key I get the exact higher pitched sound???
You should get the original pitches you programmed when you play the C key. If you transpose the keyboard up or down one or more octaves and play the C key, your sequence should also get transposed up or down by 1 or more octaves.
If you want your sequence to get transposed up by a semi-tone then play the C# to do that. Likewise down by a semi-tone then the B will do that.
Basically whatever your programmed sequence is, the C will always play it back at its original pitch, or if you transpose the keyboard, it will play it back one or more octaves higher or lower.
