Thanks to the OP-1 I am getting more interested in gear that’s portable and works on batteries. I have a Tenori-On (White) and am looking to buy a microGranny 2.0.
thanks to portable USB & Laptop batteries, u can make lots of things portable these days that would otherwise need a power cord.
some of my faves are SP404, Octatrack, MPC500, mini KPs, ipad mini, yamaha qy70
mine would be also SP404 sx, mini kp, volca bass aaaaand.. the stylophone.
Kaossilator mini v1.I take it everywhere.better than K O mini 2 due to larger pad and simple lay out.design classic that sounds brilliant.i use KPs for studio use .I like to travel with one of the 3 monotrons ,the’re all good. The monotribe is also very good and portable.
Patchblocks

Liking my MicroGranny 2.0 too.
I’m going to have to be the king of the obvious here, but nothing touches my iPad Mini Retina (w/ Samplr, Multitrack DAW, AniMoog and iMPC Pro, that is…)
Korg Volca Bass, Korg Kaos Mini, Roland DDR 550 mkII, Korg Monotribe, Korg DS-10 (inside the Nintendo DS), Casio VL-1, Mattel Synsonics Drums and Korg Kaossilator. I have taken all of these out and about to make music with on battery power. Very handy and fun.
korg ddm 110,ditto x2, Berlin Boombox! best mobile speakers made out of Cardboard!
iPad Air. Plenty of super powerful apps that sound great, hours and hours of headphone time.
Been enjoying my TR-505 the last few days. Not the hottest thing on earth, I know, but it works! Lol
I actually like most of the sounds, except the closed hats and the high cowbell.

I love the RC-505.
It’s got a TON of memory, and between an that device, the iPad Mini Retina and my OP-1, I have pretty much broken the shackles of a desk-based workstation.
TR505 is super punchy. dope little machine

Different 505s
OP-1 and iPad are basically soul mates from all I’ve heard. Almost a must buy. As mentioned above, the portable Kaoss pad/Kaossilator mini’s from Korg are also interesting for some added effects.
