Can anyone explain what handle importing wav and aif files without meta data means? I’ve never tried and have only loaded sample packs to sample tracks. As well as the general.json setting to disable auto-added fx a? I didn’t know that was a thing I guess…
Cool yeah that makes sense. I should have been a little more specific I guess I don’t get what meta data refers to. And I’ve just never noticed an effect being added to temp peram tweaks
Meta data is just data which describes data. In this case it would be a small file of structured data which describes the accompanying unstructured audio data so that the operating system can easily identify and index audio files in a consistent way.
@cloudburst Okay thanks for the response so would that potentially mean that we don’t need to run samples through the op-1 or the drum utility app anymore? We can just load wav files? or does it mean that it just wasn’t working properly before and we still have to run through the drum utility app to make a sample compatible with the opz?
@flom someone responded on the facebook group and said that before this update, any temporary parameter tweaks (done by holding function and turning a parameter dial and then when you let go of function the parameter snaps back to where it was before you turned it) apparently also kicked in the effect on send effect track one as well. Now you can turn that off with the app or in that file on your computer
* add general.json setting to latch notes using shift. Release notes while holding shift to latch (latch_notes_with_shift)
that is such a performance move! great implementation! that looooong turn to drone completely fixed. and mixed with non droned notes makes a lot of sense

Totally! Love how it is now possible to turn individual notes on and off to change drone chords step by step on the fly.
@Kja Someone answered me on the elektron forum and said yeah, you can drop a wav file (into the synth tracks only) but can’t exceed six seconds. Also has to be mono
