Not sure who's familiar w/ Mass Appeal, or their "Rhythm Roulette" feature on YouTube, but it's basically a challenge where a producer goes into a preferred record shop, puts on a blindfold, selects (3) random albums, and then takes them home and makes a beat out of 'em. It's pretty inspiring, for folks that love sample-based production like I do.
I did a little Rhythm Roulette challenge for myself, up at Bruised Apple Books in Peekskill NY (my secret vinyl dive). It's a bit of a drive, but worth it. All OP-1.
The challenge entails a blindfold, (3) random pieces of vinyl, a turntable and a sampler.

Cool entertainment showand good track as usual. Maybe Ima do this too ; ) Btw youre using the numark for sampling. I remember I once did it as well. Can it be that it has a kind of lofi character when playing the records? Or maybe I accidentally set the sampling freq on my microSampler wrong…
I’d say so. There’s no sample rate setting in the OP, but the Numark has what I’m certain is a pretty cheesy preamp built in. Good thing I’m all about that filthy lo-fi crunch!!
