would recommend doing a factory reset after updating
seems to help sort out some of this stuff sometimes

yeah, you probably are. You can route the output of one op-z to the fx and tape of another. I would imagine the octatrack can mangle way more.
iam super happy with my actual setup and the only thing i‘ll buy is the Octatrack
I have considered buying a second one for the purpose of playing live and changing between patterns with a mixer like a DJ. I could get a video mixer like a Roland V-02HD, and make smooth transitions between video scenes, and photomatic scenes.
