Made this mostly with OP-1 and a 4 track, with a little help. OP-1 is a perfect little gem for this kinda stuff. Love it!

Very nice, especially the string tracks. What kind of 4 track recorder did you use?

Thanks! The four track is a Fostex XR-7. I used it mostly to bounce to, but on a couple of tracks I used it a bit more. Having the pitch on the OP1 in conjunction with pitch on the four track comes in handy to get some good degradation going.

A few ways, some I did via guitar rig and into OP1, mixed one into a digital 8 track with the op1 tracks, and I think one i just did on the four track.



Pretty dang impressive. Cassette is just so vibey

Love the cassette flavours. If you are interested I made this as well, not on the op1 but I constructed it on cassette sort of like a bad mix tape I would have made in my youth. Someone commented that the “transitions needed work”…that was sort of the idea!

Regardless of what equipment was used - this is a very nice, poignant and brilliant piece of music. Will purchase this on the weekend. Very inspiring stuff

Last year I put out some ambient OP-1 stylings, lots of kind OP1 heads checked it out and seemed to like it, here is another instalment. This one has a few more beats on it but mostly was done using OP1, 404 and cassette. Thanks for checking it…

The great thing about the OP1 is that it can be what you want it to be…it took me a while to see that. Using the sampler function on it was a game changer for me, for you it could be something completely different but if you keep an open mind it can take you places. Enjoy!
