Something from this week. Once again, thank you all for the help with the struggles of learning the OP-1. Big love.

after finishing my contribution for battle 67, I was so glad to be “allowed” to use the op-1 synth-section that I made these little track. Enjoy!

Hi everyone,
long time lurker reporting in…

I made a little trio of ambient, electronic, glitchy tracks, using mostly samples.
Recorded live via tape, grain and reverb fx.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed summoning them.

Stunning! I’m absolutely blown away… Would love to hear details about your process as I’ve never heard anything like this out of an OP-1!

Really pleased to hear you enjoyed them.

In several nutshells:

Track 1 (Cadence) was created using ambient samples I sourced from op-1.fun. I created a set of four 1 minute loops and brought them in and out manually. All of the OP-1 output went through a Red Panda Tensor (manually tweaked tape / time-stretch fx) and Digitech Polara.

Track 2 (Prudence) is a set of chords played across 4 tracks from the ‘Newday’ synth patch (Cluster?), then played through the Tensor and Polara.

Track 3 (Providence) I sampled myself playing a wine-glass (in a circular fashion), then used the sample across 4 tracks, which I brought in and out, via the Red Panda Particle (grain delay) and Tensor Pedals, as well as the Polara.

In one nutshell…the pedals provided the sauce

I accidentally dialed in an RMI-like patch on Dr Wave and decided to cover Oxygene 4 by Jean-Michel Jarre. I only used samples for the drum machines.

A track I put together for a Synth Pop challenge over at the MPC-Forums BB, but 100% done on the OP-1… no MPC

What’s going on operators? A year for the ages indeed- It’s been awhile since ive messed with the operator one but i’ve had two weeks stuck in a govt facility with not much else to do but contemplate. This is a all-op-1 beat tape under another alias of mine composed while stuck in managed isolation 5/9-18/9/2020

Album is floating around the streaming sites too - thanks for your support!

Hey all, I can’t resist taking the spot of post #1000 in this thread.
I released a single a couple of weeks ago right here

Listen closely for the OP1. Drums, bass and all the synth lines come from within. I’m forever impressed with how good the drum kits that come with the OP1 are!

Awesome tracks!
Is Vladimir chicken your artist name? Enjoyed also the guitar riff on the second track. Nicely combined with the delays!
