Thanks @rocksoul! Less of a goal and more an experiment in terms of how many different tones and layers i could get within the confines of the 8 user presets accessible at any one time! Ended up lifting and dropping a few of the sounds to tape to have more sounds. Also trying some denser / more exotic harmonies.
Also used the Arp sequencer for the drums held live during recording to album.
Thank you for kind words. No, the sequencer was āoccupiedā by the octave-extension trick*. Iāve used a partially self-playing patch that jumps between two octaves if you hold a key, so some of the ānotesā youāre hearing is just one key held for a long time. But aside from that it was all manual. Hence all the mistakes.
Octave extension trick involves engaging endless sequencer and erasing all notes. This allows you to hold a key, then switch up or down without interrupting the note youāre holding.
made this one as a possible submission for the current Battle. actually yesterday night. but didnāt post it til nowā¦so is technically late for submission.
Hi guys,
again i really appreciate your feedback on my tracks, so i upladed a new one.
This one is chill. Thats what i did:
On the OP-1 i recorded a few minutes of random a melody with the endless sequencer and picked a few bars that i liked. Than i recorded the same random endless patch with a pad and created some atmo in the same key (B Major). Than i layed down a beat also with endless and the COW as delay effect. Of course iāve added a baseline to make it musical.
Afterwards i performed the base track from the OP-1 into Ableton and layered a melody with my Bassguitar and some Chords + solo with my spanish guitar.
