BTW watch your bass levels!

was wondering why I wasn’t hearing anything at all almost halfway through >.>

then I cranked my shitty/cheap work pc speakers, and there, faintly, was this deep throbbing bassy drone LOL

these poor things can’t repel firepower of that magnitude.

Chilled sunday night vibe. Truly falling in love with Samplr again.

i have constant GAS for an Analog Four that I very nearly go out an satisfy sometimes, then I go and re-discover something like Samplr again and think Man, that could be SUCH a perfect app if they allowed midi-in to play with an external keyboard and if they allowed MidiCC control over the various ‘channels’ effects parameters. I have loads of one-shots of classic synths that i can load in, i wouldnt need an A4! :wink:

Threw a little collection of short clips together w/ the Storehouse app. Fun app. Anyway, most of it involves bite-sized OP-1 efforts.

Beautiful song @spacetravelmadeeasy

^ Thanks @Kites

I’m really enjoying both the OP-1 and SAMPLR at the moment. really good for little jams and bursts of creativity!

I really like the concept of Samplr, but I haven’t been able to get the hang of it in the past. I felt like I had to edit the tracks I imported all too much just to get the tempo synced up, and I thought it would be more like a live looper with more flow. I suppose I need more time with it? Plus my iPad rig has grown so I’m not sure if it’ll mesh well.

Do you record directly into Samplr? Got any tips?

I made a little video to demonstrate the microGRANNY with midi controllers. The OP-1 has a little part in it.

@Kites
At somepoint in the past I got my hands on a lot of root note samples from famous synths so I just use those for instruments. I also loaded a lot of vintage and famous drum kits/loops that I think are from one of the ohpeewon archives. I loaded these all onto the ipad probably last year and just use that whem im jamming.

It would be a pain having to keep importing stuff via itunes or trying to get stuff synced - in fact i wouldnt look at it as a sampler that you load synced loops into.

If the devs improved the way stuff was imported into it, synced and added midi in to control notes and CC it would be the best app ever.

@karbonckel gonna check your video at lunchtime!
Got the Volca Bass hooked up to large midi keyboard tonight, something I've not tried before.
Beats, bassline and a few other noises from OP-1 and Samplr App

@karbonckel what stand you using for your tenori?

@karbonckel what stand you using for your tenori?

It’s actually my iPad stand, it’s called the Compass iPad stand.

My Oplab arrived recently, and I had a little jam with the first setup I got working. It’s rough and kind of all over the place, but I’m stoked about the possibilities.

I’ve already posted this the the tracks thread, but I’ve knocked up a little video for it…
A bit of Cure-inspired D&B…

@DaveTheTriffids lovely bass/pad sounds. Are you using Spring? Reverbs sounds great!

@formatk thanks for that!
Yeah, most of the reverb on the individual tracks are spring with a touch of master delay assigned to the “8” key.

posted this on the old forum, but thought I may as well get it up here!
