Op1F encoders cracked

My op1F orange and grey encoders cracked with minimal use

I can’t believe in less than 6 months this happened

What have you guys done ? What did it cost? How do you prevent this

Thx

Oh wow, that’s scary. Sorry it happened to you folks.

Mind sharing a picture of what the damage looks like to know what to keep an eye for?

Are you new to TE or the forum?
What devices do you have ?

If you reach out to TE, they should replace them for free. They did that for me. I also asked them whether the manufacturing issue which results in these encoders cracking has been resolved. They assured me it’s been fixed.

Thanks
Hope the reply

I am indeed! Total newbie, got an OP-1 field just a month ago and I’m still learning loads every day I play with it. This forum has been an absolute blessing to get me from zero to one :bowing_man:

Hope TE is up to the task and they replace your cracked knobs.

Thanks and welcome

Yeah it’s a rough start but hopefully they do the right thing. I’ll keep you updated

Meanwhile keep pumping out those bangers

Bro that’s a bummer. I’m sure they will fix it but you’ll have to be away from your op-1 for a while.

They sent me a replacement set
Let’s see what they say about double triggers

My field is one of the earliest ones. I need to inspect my knobs!

Nice. When I get back to the states, I may have to send my OP-1 field back to TE because the encoders jump around a little bit making it difficult for live usage

They wanted video of the double triggering

I said it’s hard to reproduce (whcih it is because I need to film while using finger drumming) so he suggested I take it to the store for warranty replacement
