@hudson I never tried that myself, but I recently watched this video from @djthomaswhite where he mentions that same problem and a solution - distribute the sync signal in parallel, not in series:
Can you only link (sync) up to 3 PO's? I tried attaching a fourth, but couldn't get it to work...
I’ve had no trouble syncing all the six units.
Was a bit tricky to get the volume levels right, but other than that I had no trouble.
SY1->SY5->SY5-SY5->SY5->SY4
oh cool! Victory is yours! Thank you for the advice.
my arcade is way louder using its built in speaker than the office or robot. anyone else experience this as well? or did i get a bad office and robot? i can barely hear robot with the volume all the way up using its speaker....
I got my arcade and robot today and noticed the same thing. The volume with the internal speaker seems much lower on the robot compared to the arcade. Also with headphones it is like the first 4 volume levels on the robot do almost nothing.
The drums on the robot are considerably lower on first boot, but you can turn them up using the encoders.
The level of my robot is also lower compared to the arcade, rythm, factory and sub. And i think my arcade is a bit louder than the others.
Here’s a live playing jam I did some days ago - the Commodore C64 version of “Commando High Score” by Rob Hubbard:
Yeah I saw and commented on your video on YouTube. Really well done. I did an Outrun one but I just wasn’t confident or patient enough to play it on the robot. Huge credit to you though, great performance. Luckily I could parameter lock the glide.
I’ve made a PO video thread for videos! Get it in!

Cool, will do that! Nicely done with Outrun as well - I actually had plans on doing that myself, we’ll see what comes out Will definitely do some more stuff anyway!

Good job! You should attempt the loading tune, that is all kinds of awesome.
Thanks! Got so inspired I did another one yesterday - the C64 version of Ron Hubbard’s “Delta” from 1987
Cool trick I found with the Office, you can apply FX in live/test play when the unit is stopped.
am i dreaming or is the robot like a lead god of some shape or form?
You can also apply FX on the Robot when the sequencer is stopped. And sound 5/13 allows notes to stack polyphonically for a short time. And switching the volume will smoothly ramp up/down to the new setting.
It’s 30% off on Cheap Mondays, so 50€ the PO until midnight !
Has anyone got cases yet for their 20 series POs?
I have the PO-20 case and it’s great. Ordered a case for my PO-12 as well and they’re more or less the same. Great material, colors and better handling of the buttons if you ask me. They’re not cheap but worth it.
Yeah got a case for my PO12 and like it, my only complaint is that the lights are not that visible, completely invisible if playing outside in the daytime.
@LyingDalai I would get the PO12 first, its more conventional and straightforward. The office is awesome as an expansion to the PO12 imo
