PO-20 arcade, PO-24 office, PO-28 robot

Ordered. So, is it time to start sharing order numbers?

Got the arcade and robot :) fingers crossed for no insane shipment time

I might “have to” get both too. They seem to overlap each other, soundwise and description-wise

Now that there are 6 of those, I wish they came up with some alternative power scenario, where you can just plug them in. I will never have all 6, but if someone did, that is 12 batteries at a time. And they do tend to go pretty fast.
I only have the PO-12, and I already feel wasteful just churning through the batteries regularly...

I was just thinking that between these and the Volcas alone, I should just find a battery-of-the-month club.

This is a cool thing about the Bastl Trinity series. They can all run on battery, but they’ve got a cool side-chaining feature where they can all plug in to each other and share power, midi, and audio (I don’t think they can share battery power, but they can share a single 9V adapter). It keeps the audio-out port free for individual mixing, or you can just take the sound out of the rightmost one. Since the POs are so much thinner and lighter and use the headphone jack for both sound and sync, it’s probably not possible to do this. But some of the speculation that the Op-Z would be a magic base that could fit multiple POs is starting to sound like a nice thing. The contact points are there in back.

I don’t mind using batteries on these things. Mine seem to last pretty long. But I do hate changing the batteries. They may have over-engineered the battery holder so you can’t get them out when you want.

Arcade at order no 9054??.

I’m pretty sure they haven’t messed up this time. Considering the amount of dirt they got from last PO release

Factory Reset confirmed! That alone beats previous 3 POs.

Ordered all 3… hoped for a bit more diversity, but arcade seems to be a beast!

They seem to share the same hardware platform as the previous series, but TE most likely have upgraded the MCU for a version with more flash memory, otherwise neither factory reset nor 128 patterns would be feasible.

Ordered all 3, I was already doing chiptune like songs with Factory, looks like those new toys will come handy :). This forum is doing an Ep of Pocket Operator’s based songs, I guess this community will be crazy about Arcade and Robot:

I feel a little bit of a fool. Ordered from TE directly to the states and just saw that they’re all listed as in stock at Perfect Circuit, including the 3-pack.

arcade seems like the real winner. PO-24 seems like another great drum machine~!. plenty of new features in all of these to keep us all interested. MAybe new suprises still wait to be discovered once we actually get these new units bleeping away. I take it they learned alot from the first three. lots of new features that are very different from the old ones. robot is locked to a new scale… sigh. can the robot even play in tune with the 14 and 16? Regardless Im very happy with the continued innovation of the PO line! hopefully they keep making wonderfull little devices like this!

@Punji as always i look forward to your technical analysis!

These seem to be much improved over the first 3. Great new features, and that fun video game vibe is taken even further.

I’m also a bit puzzled about robot’s scale. And the new ones have different FX. They are missing FX#15: half note up…

I NEED THE ARCADE ONE.

I think TE have figured out how to get a lot more out of the hardware in the year since the last ones came out. It reflects in all of the new features.

goddamn I already impulse bought the arcade one.

@beefinator you shouldn’t be ashamed but rather be proud you didn’t impulse buy the three of them

In this Sonicstate video covering the new PO’S at NAMM, the demonstrator responds “yes” when asked if they are shipping now.

Holy cow, listen to the PO-20 demo audio clip on the product page

(are these just the preset sequences?)

Also, fun note, I don’t know if this is new, but the JTAG programming header is now explicitly labeled on the features diagram… : )
