@HisMostDarxxxellent, much appreciate the link.
Wavedrum mini, can spend hours with it, battery powered and quiet good speakers compared with the OP-1.
Also I like to sit on my couch with the LXR, but it has no battery and no speakers…
@HisMostDarxxxellent, much appreciate the link. When I said I wondered if when chained they would "form a single physical object, rather than 2 dangling, separate products," I mean if there's some sort of undercarriage/rod/something underneath or to the sides that could act as a connector between the units. I'm guessing not though, based on the pictures. I'm aware of the voice chaining.
I saw pictures of the underside of the units, doesn’t appear to have anything that can physically chain them (rods etc.).

6 AAs will power it for over 8 hours apparently. Or for $80, probably days lol… Amazon.com

Do you mean this picture or others?

yep thats the one
^^ I still can’t comprehend how small these will be, but seeing the underside helps to imagine. They is teeny.
True! @KrisM ; ) Years ago I build a battery pack for my Electribe M to be able to play in the park. One time I was saving a pattern and the battery was empty and the device erased half of the stored pattern. But it still works, so mybe better the € 80,- pack!

Arpeggio, previously posted, a standlone sequencer (with a monophonic synth) now has a demo video:
Arpeggio"The first dedicated arpeggiator and sequencer in one portable device. A simple instrument for composing, saving, and performing melodies... Internal 2-oscillator virtual analog monophonic synth."
Yes! This Kickstarter needs another 20k or something to be successful. 8 days to go Will it mean doom if they do not meet their target figure? I backed it. If you haven’t already, please get involved, so I can cuddle it on my couch!
@Opty you can power most USB hubs with a battery meant to recharge smart phones as long as you find a cable with USB on one end and the right barrel jack for your hub on the other
Just ordered this: http://www.sonic-potions.com/lxr.
Good choice @yrn001 and try the brendan clarke FIRMWARE with diffrent pattern resolutions, super feature. I just posted a track in the OTherMusicThread where I used it. Check it out!
if I buy a new drum machine it will be an LXR. I just keep telling myself I don’t really need it (and I don’t, tbh). I think I just want to build it lol. Whether it’s Legos or soldering, I go total zen when making things from a kit.
Just perfectly sitting on the side of the sofa with my gorgeous NS-10’s behind them. Bliss.
I found a Juno 106 in Tokyo about six months ago but there was just no way of it becoming mine for many reasons. This Juno is just so perfect. I am so happy with it and about these boutique modules. They have made the unobtainable obtainable and fit for a jam on my sofa: a place that was only occupied by the great Op-1. I whipped up a patch and have already programmed the drums in my head. Now I just need to find the time to get the ideas from inside my head, onto my fingertips, and then into my ears.
I don’t think I need it but the JP-08 is sure to be a smash too. I could’ve bought either but from my preferential point of view the JU-06 has everything I could’ve asked for.
For £300 smackeroo’s it should be a no-brainer for one and all
@KrisM Yep, there’s nothing like putting things together to clear the mind;-)
Just perfectly sitting on the side of the sofa...
That looks awesome. And it looks so happy too.
