Solved: On Linux/Fedora: "libmtp error: Could not send object info." when trying to transfer files

I just tried to copy Colors’s drone presets from a Linux (Fedora 41) machine, and while browsing the connected OP-XY as MTP device works just fine I’m getting libmtp error: Could not send object info when I try to actually copy the *.xy files into a dedicated (successfully created) folder below presets. Naming looks fine, files are around 7kb..

Any clues someone?

Edit: solved (keeping it here, in case someone else stumbles upon this)
My problem was I tried to copy files I thought would be presets to the presets/ folder but they were actually project files (.xy) and copying them to the projects/ folder worked just fine!

Heya. Can you send me a video? I’ll send you a message through email. I have your email..
Thx!
John

Hey John, what kind of video do you mean? A screencast with the error message showing up?
Here is a screenshot - it pops up in the moment I try to paste a file:

But I really doubt it’s related to your content in any way but rather a protocol error or the wrong cable. I guess Linux and MTP are just not the best friends

I’ll give it a try with different hardware when I’m back home and report back in case I found the issue!

Hey John, was my fault, see updated OP, thanks for your instant feedback, though!
