Something New!

I thought that green thing was one of the op-1 accessories…and I thought it was in red because I’m somewhat color blind.

hopefully its an all new OS!! with 2d Synthstructure Graphics, new coloring, and more Sounds and stuff.

I’ve heard someone talking about that messed up OS that’s actually running on the Operator. Maybe they have fixed it Hardcore with an all new OS!
Would be awesome if the Orange wave above is the New Dr. Wave Graphic… iam excited.

So should I postpone buying an OP-1 and wait for the 22th ?

The bubble wand looks like patch holder of a rifle or pistol cleaning rod…so it might be for new patches?

I’m not happy but I think will be showed uo the successor of the op1… :frowning:

Really?
Why do you think that?

TE is a pretty small team, I really don’t think we’ll be seeing a successor to the OP-1 this year.

@Cuckoo Do we need to keep a certain amount (i.e. EUR 200 +) of TE money in the pocket until 22nd?

Yeah, I really don’t think that Op-1 will be “dethroned” … there is still much that can be done with it, that would continue to generate interest and customers.

^ive got my calendar marked and cash in hand!!! woot woot http://i.imgur.com/7JdPxBi.jpg

edit- po-12!!! op1 isnt portable enough lol.

I hope… but the words “something new…”

It has to mean new synth engines and fx. We all know the op-1 is dues for an os update!
I did send a few emails to TE a month or 2 ago trying to work out a way to do wavetable synthesis…
This was our email and TE’s response:

Hi,
I’ve been talking on the operator1 forum and they have confirmed the single cycle wavetable looping issue. No loop in release. You can find it here.

Would be a massive improvement if you could as it would open up the sound possibilities for the sampler engine and building a wavetable data base.

Hello Adrien,

Thank you for the reference. Yes, this has been reported. It can still be used, especially with the Sketch and Endless sequencers, just not with the ADSR release part. We have a pretty cool solution for this but it’s a matter of time and resources. Thanks!

Kindly,
Teenage Engineering

So hopefully it was something they were already working on, so I’m betting it’s an OS update!

I emailed them a while back (and surely others have), and was told they’d send it to their software guy to see if it can be done. Evidently it’s moving along nicely

If they fixed the looping in release phase issue I’d be happy!

whatever it is, i just hope its dope

According to Cuckoo this should be something they’ve been putting a lot of effort into. Like the ideas of a new OS with new fresh color codes/graphics.

What if they change the colors in the new OS and then let us buy four new turning knobs? That would be dope!

Not long ago TE released a video where they used the PO-12 with one of the new Moog Minifoogers, as well as the fact that the PO-12 itself was made to be a giveaway on the Moogfest - Could there be any further collaboration between Moog and TE?

Imagine a new synth engine on the OP1, build by TE and Moog together. That would be a true game changer.

Taurus engine onboard on the OP1… Damn…

It could be the PO-12 and an OS update for the OP-1 specifically facilitating some sort of connection/integration between the two devices…

As I’ve just get my OP-1, I really hope this gonna be a crazy OS update !

@Virtual_Flannel , I could see that. judging by Cuckoo’s comments it appears to be something more than just a OS update or even the PO-12.

3 cheap units that are chained together makes sense. Ala korg little bits or the Bastl instruments, done the Teenage Engineering way with screens.

@Muhr yeah maybe a Moog collab is in the works, hence the release at Moogfest, either way I think we are in for a suprise.
