Something New!

Cool, thanks. such a cool synth. Great track also.

Love TE

interesting to see those bars not moving, I would of assumed they would modulate with the knob tweakage.

Is it the 22nd of Jan yet?

Again, that was an early prototype so not only do these graphics not react to knob movement, they didn’t end up using its of them at all. The graphic I thought was the mixer I think is actually Cluster.

I just watched the video again and caught this…

So it is the PD synth… Odd graphics for it.
But it made me think TE must have made loads of synths and fx that didn’t make the cut that they could tweak and add in a future os. Imagine if they out source 3rd party developers that could build amazing synths and fx that you could buy as “apps” so you could end up having your op tailored to your liking and sound. Hmm…
How many days till namm?

I just wish for a midi sequencer that’s parallel with the tapes.

The CWO was actually built by another software company based on one of their FX. Can’t remember who of the top of my head.

I’d love them to do another effect collab like that. CWO was a success story… fantastic addition to the Op-1. Still like the vocoder idea too if that was somehow possible :slight_smile:

Yeah a vocoder fx would be ideal…
Carrier could be any synth engine or sample
Modulator could be built in mic or line in or even an Lfo would be awesome!

@Virtual_Flannel

Yeah that’s what gave me the idea, cause the CWO is awesome so they should definitely get some more 3rd party development happening!

I was thinking of the ableton vocoder, the could definitely be turned into a TE looking fx for the op
The bands actually remind me of the bars in the teaser pic too!image

@Virtual_Flannel

IIRC cwo was made with Magnus Lidström, the guy behind Sonic Charge.

AFAIK vocoders are very DSP-heavy and thus unlikely to ever make an appearance in the OP-1 :confused:

Yes! CWO is based on this Reason Rack Extension.

This thread from a while back describes how to use the Phone FX as a vocoder.

Haven’t tried it myself tho.

Cool!
Not quite what I’m looking for but interesting enough.
Still hope they implement a real vocoder fx :slight_smile:

I wonder if TE could provide software module blocks that allow users to build their own synths. A la Reaktor or the Nord Modular?

If TE have another offering, and not the PO-12 then I doubt they’d have found much time to update the OP-1 OS sadly…

Agreed

Let’s hope they’ve at least made the update that replaces the stock patches with the ones we submitted.

AND, at the same time, the ability to delete factory patches…

Oh ya I posted the scion viddy on the ol’ ohpeewon site, it helped confirm my purchase:

Still looking for that old Conan O’ Brien episode where they had a gadget segment, and the OP-1 was featured. Anyone?

@piotr yeah right now that and patch management is my #1 desire, followed by multiple LFOs/EGs.
