What are you listening to?

I’m really enjoying Moon Gang’s - Sea at the moment

Got this DnB tape the other day, dead good!

Also enjoying Syro

Really loving this tune “Waveforms” by a band called Leisure Birds:

The new Flying Lotus is pretty spot on.

Arkist is also pretty damn good. House vibes.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Professor Kliq.

I really like FlyLo, especially the song featuring Lamar.

Love Brainfeeder stuff, just saw Low Leaf + Zeroh + Ras G, that was a night to remember.
The next evening Gaslamp Killer was performing live on Boiler Room, the show was amazing. I coundn't leave the screen.
I still haven't found a way to download it and watch it again. Any clue someone ?

Syro is good. Real good. I don't know how I got through the buzz, I now read it was everything, but I hadn't heard of the release of a new Aphex Twin.
I just discovered the LP while looking for Shabazz Palaces' Lese Majesty at the store, grabbed it, and went home listening to the album.
It had been a long time since I last discovered an album without downloading it first...
Not as futuristic as previous releases, but well worth listening several times a day :D

And Lese Majesty is better than Black Up in my opinion. I really like Shabazz Palaces.

The new Leonard Cohen album is sooooooo smooth. Lovin’ it

NES goodness… https://fearofdark.bandcamp.com

I think “Flame Repellant” and “Hopeless Romantic” are my favorites.

Lots of ‘vaporware’ and ‘future-funk’ records on bandcamp recently. I’m kinda amazed at what is considered a record these days quite frankly. I must be old but i’ll dust off my funk chops and try some op-1 original vaporware! Its the perfect machine for it haha…

now where is I stash my old cassette deck?!?!?

=]

Tape heads might want to cop one of these before they totally sell out:

That guys work is ace.

@virtual_flannel, any ideas when your tape on Dirty Tapes is coming out? Looking forward to hearing that one

@yoof Thanks so much for your interest homie! Been working on that tape for a few years now haha! It’s done, just needs art and to get pressed up. I think my release is next or really soon. Can’t wait to share that music with everyone!

Right now I’m bumping the new Lukid

Really love Abrahams’ sound, I discovered him with his mix of the classic “I go to sleep”… I agree with you !

This made me sad to hear :frowning:

But have a listen to Paul Hartnoll’s new project, 8:58. Sounds great!

The beginning totally reminds me of Ryuichi Sakamoto, very nice! @yoof

I just love the sound of an Atari STe…

so fun

anyone know of some really good scary soundtracks to tv shows to recommend? ive been focusing alot on just the sounds of stuff on netflix and such ive noticed a lot of recycling of tones but there is some really eerie beautful stuff in shows like the killing. also very obsessed with some of the tones on katy perry’s last album (less so the music than her others) but definately gatta say just the spacial vibe of almost everything i hear nowdays i cannot get a handle on (in a good way) and im not talking about maroon 5 non of that uh uh. i mean like more of how big some small stuff you hear sometimes could ever be presented. like when i was i kid i would be like “oh its just live they couldnt reproduce the sound of the album” but i think its mostly how well a artist plans ahead for where theyre going to be playing what theyre putting out. very very important i think so id say…everyone…but i REALLY HATE the radio (work). my love for kp comes mostly from an interest in her voice and how it sounds with the dynamics of the arrangement of her tunes. she is not by any means my favorite artist nor does my music reflect my interest in what many would consider to be such low art (pffff) but i think iz alllll bout them vibes, most of which i feel come from spacial illusions (take anything off creature comforts by black dice or something like mouse on mars - yippie or thier whole instrumental album). comes down to the surreal. attention robbing sounds that sound like they could never exist

i apoliogize if this was posted in the wrong place if u guys could help me learn this forum stuff would be helpful i messed up my first few tries

No worries, you didn’t mess it up. Welcome to the forum! While I
haven’t watched any TVSeries lately I can’t give you an example of an interesting soundtrack.
