What are you listening to?

The beginning totally reminds me of Ryuichi Sakamoto, very nice! @yoof

Ryuichi Sakamoto!! I wonder if he still releases stuff.

@ScottSittlow this is appropriate for Halloween (the states). I can mention a few scores/soundtracks from films and shows that I dig, and in which some are more disturbing than scary, but the two often need to present imo.

28 Days Later - Godspeed you! Black Emperor

I like the early theme song more than the show but - American Horror Story

I might be cringing a bit, but I’m curious to listen on in to Katy Perry’s stuff.

Just listening some Few Old Tunes of Boards Of Canada

Reviving the thread…A friend showed this to me, wish I could understand them better… funny original guys they are!

Good time to resurrect this thread @mixrasta with all the ‘Best of 2014’ lists coming out. Curious what everyone’s favorite electronic stuff of the year is since I’m always looking for new suggestions.

My favorites this year have been:

SD Laika - That’s harikiri
Thug Entrancer - Death After Life
Ekoplekz - Unfidelity
Claude Speed - My Skeleton

And of course the new Aphex Twin.

Yes the Aphex Twin I still have to listen to @burnthair. Actually I’m listening to tons of Alan Hawkshaw and Brian Bennett, can’t get enough of them. I’m having the Luke Vibert Nugget Compilation 3 since 1 1/2 years where he shows his beloved tracks and I was searching the internets after then…
Sorry for spamming so many YTubs…

I stumbled on this thanks to Keith Whitman’s webstore Mimaroglu Music. I’ve been listening to it a lot over the past day after buying it on Bandcamp. Otherwise, I’m jamming Kassem Mosse, Ben Vida, Demdike Stare, the new Advisory Circle, Patricia, and Anthony Moore.

I’ve got so much stuff to add to this thread, but I just had to post this Bowie classic after they played it on BBC 6Music tonight. What an incredible track!

David Bowie - The Width of a Circle: http://youtu.be/s2L4hL2IvUk

They recorded this album outdoors in a desert out here in CA. Check out their modular setup.

Yeah, I read an interview with them in SynMag, it’s only in german tho… sounds interesting!

Double post - sorry

'Nuff said.

Lemaitre released a new EP yesterday. pretty funky nu-disco stuff.
Lemaitre - Singularity EP

this is so sick; thanks for the tip

I like your taste in chip also (can’t go wrong with FOD); one I always come back to is Tonight We Launch (http://tonightwelaunch.bandcamp.com/) for the flawless combo of LSDJ and guitar.

“Dance Like 11, 12 people, Tops, Are Watching” goes so hard.

Recently been listening to:

Aphex Twin’s soundcloud dump.

Björk’s Volta and Biophilia in anticipation of the physical release of Vulnicura (today, I think).

Dr Alimantado - Best Dressed Chicken in Town

The Life Aquatic Sessions by Seu Jorge (Bowie covers in Portuguese)

Dimensional Space by CV313 (Dub techno)

The recent tape by S Maharba:

+1 on Aphex Twin’s Dump.- what a dude.
Noticed @mixrasta mentioned Luke Viberts Nuggarts Comp. They’re good.
Just picked up 808States Prebuild which is nice.

But most unusual record I recommend a listen is “Come Back Wicked” (a fear of sengiri mix) by OVe-NaXx feat Wayne Lonesome or (mashit mix) DJ C feat Wayne Lonesome ,on Shockout 12" .

Going to see loscil here in Philadelphia this Thursday.

I’m listening to a bunch of Boards of Canada lately. Found out about them on this board.

LyingDalai i am a guy that builded a an all about passion record store in Athens called Sound Core in 2003
providing vinyls/ cds /fanzines/ dvds of only passionate avant intelectual property of highest hights but OF COURSE after 3 years i bankrupted and i even burned my cash machine outside my store and next morning escaped to Paris . So passion is a lietmotiv as far as i am concerned . so please give me and X and Y and i will with pleasure give you some more chambers

@Thor, let's talk music here, I believe the place is more appropriate...
I listen to a lot of music(s), check my Last.fm account.
I look for new music very regularly, and I have friends that do this too, but I would really appreciate any input in this matter.

I'm currently fond of the young Chester Watson, and Brainfeeder stuff.
"A Sufi And A Killer" stays one of my favorite discoveries, but I listen to the old Flying Lotus a lot more :)
But I come from rock/pop so I listen to a lot of different things, like Dirty Projectors or Grizzly Bear for instance.

You have a special feeling for ODB : I'll listen to "The return" tomorrow...
But you may develop : with what music do you have particular bound ?
As you lived in France for a while, you MUST know NTM, for sure :)
Or don't you ?

@LyingDalai yap but joey starr (pour moi is not a musician and not talented at all ) NIQUE LA POLICE bien sure ok was something i was listening while living in Belleville but mostly because my daughter was into ntm
ok personally i like it raw/ spectacular/trippie / but lets make it music for Now: this GAZELLE TWIN is a girl with passion and edge https://youtu.be/opfewQ2eab8
but music for ANYTIME and i am lucky as i saw JEAN CLAUDE ELOY (MYTHICAL FIGURE) performing 3,5 hours with a wall of hardware is https://youtu.be/2QAsCaX_0lE
