Two of my favorite bands right there. I love this.
I’m guessing ‘Kinderlieder’ isn’t one of them 
I think the Flaming Lips drum sound is my favourite ever drum sound. I know it’s not ‘clever’ but it just sounds massive. You can’t argue with that sound.
Yeah it’s like Bonham x20. That’s also their best album in my opinion. The one after that is sorely underrated too. I have picture of them using the op-1 if you’re interested.
It was ‘Clouds Taste Metallic’ for me. After transmissions, that hit me so hard. Loved the Lips back then. They were so fucking fresh. The press hated them and that made it even better. haha
That picture would be cool. I wonder what they used it on. I’m developing my own project based on Zaireeka. I’m hoping to bring some the OP-Z style and sounds into the project.

My new EP came out today. All of the tracks have heavy involvement from the OP-Z, from sketching initial ideas to sequencing outboard kit and providing sounds as well. It will also be heavily involved when I get round to playing live.

Alas, no the visuals are all royalty free stock footage shot by someone else (though edited by me). I believe it’s somewhere in Mexico.
Made a track from a reversed sample of “the world’s oldest melody”.
Not sure if that’s entirely true but it sounded pretty old to me.
