Battle 24

sneakyness… if you listen to my outro Los angeles LA and a bunch of stuff is said… check our NPR Jack… heidi and frank show from 5-10am weekdays will be full!

Fuck NPR and/or waking up any time before noon :stuck_out_tongue:

Your track is reeeeealy quiet, can barely hear anything

what are you listening to it on?

then turn on the radio at midnight and look for a talk show.

A pair of mackie hr824mk2s, have to turn it up 3x as loud as the other tracks to hear anything.

I’ve been hunting, but the sample still eludes me. I spent like 20 minutes listening to some lady preach ‘the word of god’ in hopes that she would say Los Angeles once LOL

Hey everyone this is the first track i ever uploaded to share. Kind of new to this so any tips, feedback or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

still trying to figure out how to embed my soundcloud

Go to :30 to skip corny intro LOL

nm guess i got it lol

That was brilliant @ronic!

Thanks @yoof but it’s really nothing compared to the tracks you’ve made! I listened to your sound cloud page and you’re awesome! Were the songs all done on OP-1?

Oh wow thanks @ronic! Much appreciated man. Yes, all op-1. (All except “MD your OP” which also had some machinedrum).

I admire your work bro! @yoof

Here’s my first submission to a battle. I just got the op-1 and still learning. I’m also getting back into music without being in the game for a few years. I did this one quickly. I used the Dr. Wave synth. It’s hard to stay with one synth engine. I might have gone a little overboard on effects and tape tricks, but love the sounds I get from the op-1. @sneakyness you could even settle for a local landmark. The name of a beach, highway, or something like Hollywood or Pink’s Hot Dogs would suffice in lieu of the actual name of the city.

Weird, I have played it on six different formats and sounds fine. anyone else?

So Fuck NPR and Fuck getting up early but you turn the preacher?!?! I think you missing the concept.... :P

i used the d-synth - regarding location my zip code is encoded into the track in binary - lym since you said that the drumkits may be used i opted not to - no offense nothing wrong with samples but they’re just not my thing

… can an embedding wizard help me out?

@DOZr No embed code needed. Just paste in the regular soundcloud URL.

oh man mine is coming out amazing. I’ll have it posted on the weekend. I’m using Dr. Wave too, it seems to be one of the most all-around engines. (was going to try DNA, just for fun, but you can guess how that turned out…)
