I’ve only seen one video, is there more? I hope not.
In an update to the video I watched on YouTube the guy said his ep-133 fader could have been damaged in shipping or he might have damaged the fader when putting the cap on it. I was worried about it for a second, but it looks like it might not be an issue after all.

Unless the user is King Kong with a fowl hangover there should be no way just slipping a cap on a fader should render it useless.

I’ve heard a lot of reports about the fader being broke or keys being sticky. There’s a video on YouTube where a guy had two buttons which were tilted and he had to pry them back to be flat.
Another video suggests to not put the knob on the slider. In the comments someone said they used a hairdryer to ‘soften’ the knob before putting it onto the slider.
A lot of work to get the thing working, haha. Still waiting on mine to be shipped out but I’m in two minds on what to do. Luckily while waiting for the shipping process, we’re slowly finding out what the cause is and how to prevent it.

Speaking from installing it on mine, it’s a really snug fit. It required a lot more force to get on than I was comfortable doing. Managed to get it on in the end. The other three were super easy as they were a plus shaped Lego piece essentially. But the connector on the fader was different and it was much tougher to get on.

Is it possible to use a small file to make the opening in the fader knob larger?
Is it a plastic knob on a metal shaft? Would a tiny dot of FaderLube do the trick?

I saw a teardown video and the guy had to bend some metal prongs because they weren’t making contact properly.
I pretty sure the fader is breaking while installing the knob.

Hm. Another difference between this and PO series seems to be that “punch-in” effects and knob values cannot be recorded. On the positive side, you get time stretching in this $300 device. (Not sure why OP-1 Field doesn’t have that.) You can also record slider movement. I’m not sure whether that affects only the currently selected effect or if you can automate all of them in parallel.

RE fader issues: does seem that somehow a majority if not all the anecdotes ive heard are of folks who all said it required a lot of force to put the knob on, so i will likely ad a very small amount of lubricant and try to hold the base of the fader so that pressure does not get elaborated into the inner parts of the device
I’ve read that warming the knob with a hairdryer before fitting it makes it much easier.

Still waiting for mine to be shipped out as well but there’s people who have tried the hairdryer trick and reported it not helping at all. It seems use something pointy and thin to shave away excess plastic is the way to go if you find it difficult to put the piece on the fader.

It makes sense now - for people like me who haven’t received it yet - to try the fader first with no knob on to make sure it works.

Like most people on planet Earth I got really excited when I saw this and ordered one from TE on the 23rd Nov at midday. I’ve not had any shipping confirmation yet and I wonder if it’s because the first batch has already sold out, what with how popular they seem to be.
Anyone have any insight or communications from TE about when the orders will be fulfilled?

likewise, i ordered mine about 4hrs after it went live, during a brief moment when the add to care button magically started working again lol
te support said extremely high demand is causing delays and all units are being shipped nonstop during “the next few weeks” so in other words it could be as late as 3 weeks from now or as early as any minute

fwiw i never got a shipping notification but they delivered it on monday
well actually sunday but i wasn’t there so didn’t get it until monday
it was direct signature required so someone has to be there to sign for it
maybe check to see if yall got any door tags or whatnot?
