PO-20 arcade, PO-24 office, PO-28 robot

Got my Arcade and made an unboxing/first impressions video

Nice track, @shark42

@steveoath chords are applied globally to all patterns meaning the chords are not stored with a pattern (!) . i think its more flexible that way.

you can still synchronise the same number of patterns and chords together by making to separate chains ( pattern + chords ). that way every pattern will play in the scale you choose. maybe that needs a video explanation

@distropolis unfortunately two NOs regarding your questions…

1) you can’t adjust the volume of each sound - big difference to the first round of POs

2) on the Arcade you can only sequence melodies via the knob. you have to get the Robot if you want to play melodies live on the 16 steps.

Here are my walkthrough videos of office and robot. Arcade in1-2 days.

@Felipe Thanks. That’s what I thought. I can deal with it.

Cheers for that @Felipe. I kinda suspected that. Just need to make sure my maths add up when making chains!

@distropolis I’m actually really liking using the knob to dial in notes as a pattern is playing. Hoping that eventually I won’t need to use the screen to see the note selection and muscle memory will kick in.

When I select a sound on the PO-28 Robot and press record to start making a melody a different sound than the one I selected is recorded… Or, maybe not a different sound but it sounds very different from the sound selected.

Any one else noticed this?

I ordered a Robot and Case last night from TE (Birthday present from my wonderful Wife!)

I love that it allows drum and synth to be sequenced and you can play live on top of it all… Plus I can’t get enough of that oldskool sound!

PO-20 story (from inside the box…)

My new OP-28 sings the main theme of Commodore 64 game, MYTH: HIstory in the making. If only it could play all 12 notes and not a fixed scale…

Not even one of the other Volcas in the search lol…

Got a track down with the PO-20! I wanted to create something that we haven't seen in a lot of the other videos. So this is a more chilled type of 8-bit music. Would be super happy if you guys would check it out and give me some feedback :)

Anyone heard any word on when the cases will be available?

I emailed and got the following reply.

Hello Steve,

Thank you for your email. We will have a steady stream of at least monthly case deliveries, and they will be added to the webstore as soon as possible. Thanks!

Love this. Great work. May I ask what software you use to compose the video? I like those layering effects.

Thank you! It’s made with Final Cut Pro X. But you can do that layering in almost any video editor I think…
