My friend got some great sounds (imo) from her DX-200. I think just about all her Soundcloud tracks use it.

Dat sequencer! I need that shit in my life (next to my LD2, when it arrives!)
Seriously considering this http://www.musik-produktiv.de/pic-100036226xl/hoefner-shorty-ct-bl.jpg
Man, I’m not in the market for yet another sequencer now, but damn that Gotharman is looking promising. I think he’s making the right call in going for quality parts (eg. the made-in-Germany screen over a cheaper Asian-made). Of course everybody wants to pay only $75 for a kickass sequencer, but the closer you get to that price point, the crappier the build quality gets.

Yeah, I need another sequencer like I need herpes. I love my Octatrack (and I’m finally digging into more than just Tombola on the OP-1), but that Fuzion looks so fast to program. He doesn’t say how long each pattern can be, just how many bars per track and that each track can be different lengths to 32nd note precision, and you can store 1024 patterns. Makes me think each pattern is stuck with the same length, which is unfortunate, but it’s early in the game.
**edit** oh lawdy he's hinting at sampling and fx...
Hehehehe…
Towards the end of the thread though, Gotharman seems to be reconsidering that. He thought of adding audio FX and some sort of synthesis or sampling engine but enough people balked when he said Fuzion would cost over 2000 euros with all that and a cherry on top.
So now he’s considering making the Fuzion “just” a sequencer, which would bring the cost down to 1000, which may actually be cheaper than the Cirklon (999 UKP). He could cut another 500 by not using the German-made screen, but he doesn’t want to compromise build quality.
I did get that far, just got tired of updating the post >.> and I think a 500 euro screen is fucking ludicrous on anything lol, especially when it’s half the cost of the device. Granted those were prototype prices and iirc he wasn’t sure how far down prices would come when the unit became complete/for sale. Ah well, no way I can justify a $1500 sequencer anyway. It still looks to be really cool either way.
The Korg M3 (I have one) is notorious for having a touchscreen that fails, so I kind of get his insistence on using a quality made-in-Europe screen. We’ll see how the final product turns out.
Many moons ago i used to own the Yamaha SU200 Phrase Sampler.
that’s the missing member of the trio I was thinking of!
I was about to buy it back then, but than I chose the electribe s…
