OPZ + Moog + Prophet + Mc101
Un Housito sano
Un poco Tropical
another performance this time with OP-Z. I love this lil machine so much.
very fun to play with live and jam and live arrange.
The future is Z!
Here’s my latest op-z track. Sampling is so much fun with this guy!
New test with a new OP-Z template for Ableton and the Z mounted on a flatter guitar for better results. Still needs some work but honestly happy with how these experiments are coming along:
Recently started posting videos, including some sounds and images found in this forum!
All sound and image straight from OP-Z with no further production (for better or worse).
Cool.
I’ve been watching your videos. Nice development, man.
How is the guitar going into the OP-Z? Are you processing it with the FX?
Keep up the good work!
Also, looks like you live in paradise!
Here’s a cover of Rainbirds, by Tom Waits.
Really just using the Z for synth and keys sounds on this. No sequencing.
Thanks! I decided to record them seperately here for simplicity and just synced them up in post. However, with the new firmware update I am keen to try everything going straight through the OP.Z!
Hi,
Thanks to all of you and your staff, vids, hints, etc, I was able to take my lockdown opportunity and finally make my dreams true and learn some music theory and try to make some music by my taste. I’m the type of guy who reads a lot and writes less. But I decode to step further and introduce myself by my random outdoor jam::
I know it is not as good as all your excellent tutorials, inspiration vids, and amazing self-presentation, but I’m trying to challenging my shyness, In hope of fitting seamlessly into this amazing community ![]()
I can only thank you for all the joy of my music.
Well, THANK YOU.
Samuell
Extremely basic work on the OP-Z over the last couple of evenings. Sounds more complicated than it is. I recently got back into music so loaded up on POs, an OP-1 and an OP-Z and am enjoying the distraction away from work. I used to do a lot of sequencing maaaaany years ago so it’s slowing coming back to me. Enjoy.
Really like this. That pitch elevation you have from 54 seconds is great. How did you do it?
Thanks! I did pitch elevation with a chord Progression on the Master track ( one octave higher), its combined with the first punch in effect and the one on the button with the black 5., the next sequence starts with the punch in effect black 8. the Track is a 4 - 16 - 8 bar loop of three pattern and i think a bit of it has to do with the pattern changing from the second to the third pattern, a little bug perhaps. Unfortunaly i can not explain it much better. If you are new to the Opz, like i am, i would recommed the YouTube Videos of Freebeats and Son Wu to you, they helped me a lot. Hope this was a little bit helpful, have a nice day. Best wishes Philip
Here’s a full track I made using only a single pattern. I found that using this restriction force me to make the most of all OpZ features ![]()
Really cool track. I was trying to follow all the changes that you made but I think that I am probably not aware of some functions (haven’t researched the tape truck that much).
In this track I mostly use mute groups and individual mutes. The tape track is used here to create a retrig break applied only on some tracks, and towards the end I change the arpeggiator speed and play a bit with the performance effects using the shift button.
Couple of op/z only tracks as I learn
Tracks programmed then played with mutes & tape
Recorded via usb out to Mac
How did you get the spectrometer on the video ?
