Getting some op-z time in after a while being away with other devices since I’m on vacation! It’s always fun to see how much you can do with some short sequences and a few step components!
More commute generated bits; OP-1 doubling on lead with Cluster/hidden filter FX; verbs/delays courtesy of Ableton Live / Vahalla Supermassive and FreqEcho.

I made something a bit ominous for halloween:
Hi there !
Here’s a short DnBish jam made using the OP-Z and Behringer model-D (and some Koala Fx)
The model-D pairs very well with the OP-Z ! It’s dirt cheap and so fun to play.
Anyway, enjoy !
Hey @psound74 ! How do you like the op-z for commute? How does it compare with the OP-1?
Hey @rocksoul !
Well, i must say that when i have to bring more tools to the job, the Z’s smaller form factor is great! They are definitely both great commute tools, and i think I have more initial ideas on the Z because of the dual FX, panning (sometimes per step!), and more tracks; however, i do tend to get more stuck in the “loop” mode and want to dump things track by track into Ableton for more sounds/mixing…
The OP-1 is still better at sound design overall and for arranging on the 4 tracks…i will say that it’s definitely in use more because of the battles here! That may change as i grok the pattern changing on the Z…i also like the ability to better keep backups of my sounds via the OP-1 as it’s easy to “lose” what preset you made with what pattern(s) & project(s) in the Z!
Hope that helps,

I turned a few tracks from my first year with OP-Z into an EP so all sounds are 100% stock samples and synth engines.
I made some custom audio-reactive visualisations in Processing. Would be cool to make something like this as a videopak but need to learn unity first
Chaining is cool on the opz… but the fact you can switch patterns immediately and stupid easily, it really makes pattern surfing the best way to me atleast… it really makes your music feel alive… I love switching pattern sometimes within seconds or back and forth quickly… it sounds so good…
Here’s one directly from the OP-Z:

Blessed Solstice to all who celebrate!
Cheers to the return of the light!

Four of my proudest OP-Z only tracks from the last year!
Combining the OP-Z with some of my favorite other gear for funky results. Here it’s only on percussion / drum machine duties. Later in the video you can see me recording a single take of an African shaker using the built-in mic, which I then chopped up in the sample track and ran through the tape track together with step components and some extra jamming on the performance track.

Wow you really got the mix to sound very good and I especially like how you setup the drum and percussion lengths/divisions.
The video absolutely went those extra miles!
Looked like it were cordless so if that were the case what midi to cv module did you use that has Bluetooth midi?
