Your OP-Z Tracks

Thank you  I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

I was using USB for midi into the Endorphin.es Shuttle Control. But I also have used midi over Bluetooth on the iPad to control iPad synths with the OP-Z. I’ve also connected the OP-1 to my iPad and used an app called “midiflow” to rout bluetooth midi from the OP-Z directly to the OP-1. It’s super useful when performing and using the extra OP-Z sequencing track.

My first OP-Z track after three years, I had a couple of months an OP-Z three years ago but finally returned it, but I missed it these years and finally got a new OP-Z in a very good deal. Here is the song, 7 patterns using some step components and master track, recorded in Ableton Live with EQ and compression.

OP-Z Song: Waves

Hi guyz! This is an entirely album produced with op-z, recorded “live” in AUM and than mastered with Bandlab free mastering Service!

Hope you will enjoy!

DPLZ - New Born

cool cool. seems like shuttle control is pretty straight forward with the Z. I’ve had FH2 for years and still can’t config or run it reliably with Z. Pretty sure it’s my lack of understanding it though

New album made on the Z

Wow, this sounds great. Wish I made it.

Did you do any kind of mastering or is it all from the Z?

Thanks! Just some normalizing/limiting on the recorded audio file.

I just released the Z-Pack Sound/Sample pack for the ones interested:

Hi folks! First time sharing here.

Op-z as main sound source, also some modular gear.

Used the pattern chaining feature (and had to boot the OP-Z app to match a few settings among the patterns!)

Enjoy,

it is St. Patrick’s Day, so i thought i’d be “first” to post something on my name day…

Enjoy,

Was “copy settings” not an option?

https://teenage.engineering/guides/op-z/project#copy-settings

To be honest, i forgot that feature! And, what are the settings: mix, mute groups, dial parameter locks and step components? What about the plug/preset chosen on each track (bass, lead, etc.), are those copied as well?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Hello everyone! I received the OP-Z as an unexpected gift last October and after not making music for almost 20 years I got back into it in a matter of seconds… this device is nothing short of amazing… After a few weeks of tinkering I put together a collection of ambient tracks (for lack of a better word).
Everything was made with OP-Z, with some post production in GarageBand and Audition (some multitrack work, minor effects and final mixing).

All of the tracks were built around a single pattern - I still haven’t figured out a way to work with multiple ones that feels natural for my workflow, and I fell in love with step components: most of the phrasing are composed by the OP-Z either with random jumps along a pattern or directly with random notes or a mix of both. Much better results than anything I could come up with!

This is music that should invite the listener to think about something else and follow their own ideas drift towards some unknown destinations… or maybe even to get into the mood for a quiet nice nap. In short, “Music to space out to”. Enjoy!
